I am so so happy that I bought this phone. It works extremely well, allows me to use it either open or closed. It's in my smallest evening bag with ease or even in a pocket. It seems ridiculous to me that phones for getting larger and larger and bulkier. This does everything I needed to do with complete ease of use just sorry I didn't buy this sooner.
Came in new in original package as described.Phone works well so far
I purchased the 2024 Razr+ and it'great. My Razr+ comes with the standard 6.9" main screen and the 4" exterior screen, 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage. I chose the cool Peach Fuzz for color, but maybe should have chosen the even cooler Erotic Pink. Oops, that's wrong, it is called Hot Pink.First of all, no phone is perfect. I traded in a wonderful phone, the Samsung S24 Ultra, a truly excellent phone. But like choosing a wife, being beautiful just isn't enough, you want a phone (or wife) that you can love and has character. After several versions of the Galaxy S Ultras, I decided on a divorce and wanted more than excellent features, I wanted something different, a way out of boredom, a charming and fun way of life, the Razr Life. At 74, I'm not a tween, a teen or a gen whatever, but my life does revolve around my phone for so many things.Going from the Samsung way to the Motorola way takes adjusting, for me, it's a fun trip. As a tinkerer, the Settings are an interesting exploration. But not to worry, the Razr+ is great to use as shipped. The allure of the flip phone is obvious if you're reading this review, but the ability to make the exterior screen your own is real kick. Offering multiple panels or pages makes so much sense, even giving you the ability to run most of your apps on the 4" screen. I don't live on the the external screen unlike many other reviewers seem to do. I find the main screen is still the place I go to most of time, but I do use the external screen frequently and is great for checking emails, messages, the weather, viewing photos, and reading (handheld, or in the tent or desktop view). Motorola also provides a set of entertaining games designed for this screen also.So what about the important stuff? Here goes:Photos - can't beat the Samsung Ultra. But do most people really take advantage of all it offers? I doubt it. The Motorola Razr+ 2024 takes very good pictures. It offers unique ways of taking pics and selfies, even taking selfies with the with 50 megapixel main camera from the folded desktop view. Yes, it does not match the high end phone cameras. No, I don't care. Excellent pictures with great color make me happy.Speed - comes with high end Snapdragon chips. Not the highest of the high end, but I don't notice the need for more speed. Serious gamers might, don't know.Body and Soul (that would be the hinge) - Great looks, rounded corners, body edge color matches the color you chose for the back. The slightly narrower body makes it more comfortable in my hand. When folded and using the external screen it feels perfect. The hinge seems well constructed. I read that it has been tested for 200,000 folds. That's over over 5½ years with a 100 folds a day.Screens - both are bright and beautiful. Lots of control of brightness and colors. Various themes and the usual options. AI will even create a custom background from your request. The Fold - not an issue for me. Visible when not in use. Rarely visible when in use. You will feel a slight detent when moving your finger across the fold but it is not disruptive in any way.Reliability - I have owned the 2024 Razr+ for almost 3 months. So I have no personal data on reliability. Lots of reviews indicate problems. My opinion is that the ones with problems are the ones that feel compelled to write most of the reviews. Satisfied customers mostly just enjoy the product.Notes -Price - With Motorola frequently offering deals up to $200 off, wait for a deal.Buy a warranty - Razrs come with a standard 1 year warranty. Moto Care offers add-on Accident/Drop warranties that also extend and enhance the original warranty at very reasonable prices and are sometimes discounted. Amazon also seems have a very good plan if you purchase there.Accident Protection -Buy a case and screen cover for the external display. I found a good clear folding case for less than $10. Not happy with the screen protectors I have found. I wanted a glass H9 protector but they don't review well. Settled for one of the soft plastic ones. They protect well but I never get all of the bubbles out, though they are invisible during use.DO NOT use a screen protector on the main screen. There is a built in screen protector and the use of an add-on protector will void the warranty.Customer Service - I needed clarification on some pricing and Moto Care issues so I have experienced CS with both phone support and with chat. Customer Service work is difficult because we expect them to know everything. Well, the employees I dealt with did not know everything, but they were polite and tried to find my answers. They resolved everything even to the point of making a change to their website to resolve conflicting information. Maybe not the fastest resolution time but I feel comfortable they will provide help when needed.Final ThoughtsI kept my Samsung S24 Ultra until the last moment before I had to send it in for trade. That gave me time to break my Samsung connection of four years. It wa...
